Key Responsibilities Perform detailed first article inspections (FAI) on manufactured parts and assemblies per AS9102 standards. Verify dimensional accuracy using a variety of precision measuring tools, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, CAD models, and other technical documents to ensure compliance. Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, generating comprehensive FAI reports and non-conformance reports. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Identify and escalate critical quality issues to appropriate personnel for timely resolution. Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy. Recommended Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment. Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM). Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 standards. Excellent attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately. Bonus Qualifications Experience with AS9100 or ISO 13485 quality management systems. CMM programming and operation experience. Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis. Metrology or calibration experience. Experience with various GD&T software applications.
