Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Evening

Hours Per Week: 32-hour/week

Hiring Range: $18.39-$24.59

The posted pay range contains shift differentials.

• Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
• Weekday night shift - an additional 15%
• Weekend day shift an additional 10%
• Weekend evening & night shifts an additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement, mobility, transfers, and placement of patients, and assists with repositioning to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including hygiene, toileting, feeding, and comfort measures.
• Obtains and accurately records vital signs, intake and output, weights, and point-of-care blood glucose.
• Performs 12-lead EKGs and assists with specimen collection and processing per protocol.
• Reports findings or changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff promptly.
• Documents of care provided and required records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and stocked, and maintain medical equipment.
• Continuously monitors cardiac telemetry for assigned patients.
• Recognizes and interprets heart rhythms and arrhythmias, including life-threatening dysrhythmias.
• Immediately notify nurses or providers of rhythm changes, including critical rhythms, per established escalation protocols.
• Applies, adjusts, and troubleshoots of telemetry leads and monitoring equipment; manages alarm parameters appropriately.
• Accurately measures, documents, and stores rhythm strips according to unit protocol.

Education

• High school diploma/GED required, or a minimum of three (3) years' experience required.
• BLS provider obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
