Job Title: Lead HVAC Installer

Work Location: Omaha, NE and surrounding area

Work Arrangement: On-Site and field-based

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday; daily hours vary based on active business demands. This is a variable full-time role up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours fluctuating alongside seasonal business needs and project volume. To meet shifting operational deadlines, occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required.

Travel: Daily travel to residential/commercial job sites throughout the local branch's service region.

• Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience

What You'll Do:

• Supervise and direct a team of installers, delegate tasks, manage job site manpower, and ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Install all HVAC components (furnaces, ACs, ductwork, gas lines, wiring), fabricate ductwork, braze refrigerant lines, pull vacuum, and perform system start-ups.
• Enforce safety protocols, maintain a clean job site, and ensure installations meet manufacturer specs, building codes, and quality standards.
• Communicate with clients about system operation, maintenance, and warranty, providing expert advice and ensuring satisfaction.
• Coach and train apprentices and junior installers on best practices, technical skills, and company values.
• Complete all job-related paperwork accurately (payroll, work orders, permits, warranty info) and maintain tools/vehicles.

What You Bring:

• Experience: 3+ years of residential and/or light commercial HVAC service/install experience. Knowledge of applicable installation and venting codes. Proven track record in heating and cooling systems, including ability to draw simple diagrams, read blueprints, and follow safety standards.
• Knowledge: basic knowledge of sheet metal practices, air balancing principles/techniques, and familiarity with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting.
• Licensing: Journeyman or Master Mechanical license preferred. Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Integrity: High integrity with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
• Compliance: Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Must be physically able to be on feet 8 hours a day.
• Must be physically able to perform strenuous labor including lifting heavy objects (75lbs. and up) on a daily basis.
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold.
• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder numerous times throughout the day.

Compensation:

• Base Pay Range: $25.00-30.00 per hour
• Range Basis: Within this range, an individual's starting pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, professional experience, and internal equity across our organization.
• Other Compensation: Overtime eligibility. See benefits listed above.
• Overtime Classification: Hourly, non-exempt.
