Team Lead (Retail)- Raleigh, NC

Summary

The Team Lead is responsible for supporting daily store operations by leading associates, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring company standards are maintained throughout the store. This role serves as a key leader on the sales floor, providing direction, coaching, and support to team members while helping drive sales, productivity, and an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.

Responsibilities

  • Model and Drive Superior Service
  • Monitor the schedule and each department to ensure proper coverage to support business needs
  • Knowledge of emergency and loss prevention procedures (Alarm system, call list, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with employees, customers, management, and officials
  • Function as the Leader on Duty
  • Compile weekly payroll and email to Corporate Office
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Assist customer service department, sales floor and stockroom as needed
  • Plan weekly schedules for department associates
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products within the store, respond to questions and make recommendations about other products
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures
  • Assist team members in other areas as directed by supervisors or management
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, supervising, personnel procedures recommended, but not required
  • Passion for superior service and helping others
  • Cheerful and positive attitude
  • Consistent and reliable
  • Work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to bend, stand for long periods of time, and stoop in certain situations
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Organization and time management skills required
Required Experience
  • Previous retail experience
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
