Medical Billing and Coding Specialist

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing processes and coding systems to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services. Responsibilities Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe Utilize medical billing software to process claims Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or appeals Maintain patient billing records and update as necessary Stay current on insurance guidelines, regulations, and industry changes Qualifications Proficiency in ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG coding systems Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures Experience in medical billing and collections Familiarity with electronic medical records system ATHENA Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred Job Types: Full-time Employee or Contract Pay: $40,000 to $55,000 Salary Schedule: 8 hour shift (9:00AM - 5:00PM) Day shift Monday to Friday Experience: ICD-10: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Cleveland, OH 44120 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Cleveland, OH 44120: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr tbmentalhealth
