Department : Facilities Operations forSS Salary : Commensurate with Experience/Education Description : Performs daily maintenance of the university fire alarm system.Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, thisposition researches, works on, or has access to criticalinfrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security orintegrity of the University infrastructure. This position requirespersonnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or notcriminal history or continuous connections for the government orpolitical apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent theemployee from being able to maintain the security or integrity ofthe infrastructure. Monitor, inspect and service fire alarm systems. Performs preventative maintenance on all fire alarmsystems. Troubleshoots problems and repairs fire alarm systems. Installs and relocates devices on campus due to buildingremodeling. Participates in fire alarm testing. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Additional Posting Information: High School Diploma or GED Required - Department is willing to accept education in lieu ofexperience. MQ: Requires specialized training in basic trades,principles,procedures, practice, routines or techniques in a specific area ortrade which might normally be acquired through up to 18 months ofeducation or training beyond the high school level. Vocationalcompetence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipmentmay be required. Education verification will be conducted uponacceptance of an employment offer.
