Assistant Vice President, Intraday Liquidity Management

Who we are looking forGlobal Liquidity Management (GLM), part of Global Treasury within Finance, manages the firm's liquidity risk. GLM measures and monitors liquidity to ensure State Street and its international entities can meet their financial obligations in normal and stressed conditions. It provides stakeholders with clear, timely insights into the firm's liquidity position, risks, and key drivers.We are seeking an Assistant Vice President, Intraday Liquidity Management, to help strengthen the firm's intraday liquidity framework. The role will analyze liquidity exposures throughout the business day, identify opportunities to improve liquidity efficiency, enhance management reporting, and support key strategic initiatives.Working closely with Treasury, Cash Operations, Risk, Recovery and Resolution Planning, and other business partners, the successful candidate will deliver practical insights and improvements to the firm's intraday liquidity capabilities. The role also provides opportunities to lead cross-functional workstreams and help shape the future development of the framework.Why this role is important to usIntraday liquidity management is a critical component of the firm's liquidity risk management framework and plays an important role in supporting business growth, market infrastructure participation, and financial resilience. As payment, settlement, and collateral activity continue to evolve, the ability to understand, forecast, and optimize liquidity usage across financial market utilities, correspondent banks, agent banks, and custodial networks has become increasingly important.In this role, you will help shape how the firm measures and manages intraday liquidity risk globally. You will have the opportunity to develop subject matter expertise, lead cross-functional initiatives, contribute to regulatory and management reporting, and deliver senior management insights that influence liquidity strategy and business decision-making.What you will be responsible forAs an Assistant Vice President, Intraday Liquidity Management, you will:Analyze intraday liquidity exposures across key Financial Market Utilities (FMUs), central banks, agent banks, correspondents, and settlement networks to identify emerging risks, optimization opportunities, and key business drivers.Enhance intraday liquidity analytics, performance metrics, and management reporting frameworks that provide transparency into the firm's liquidity position.Partner with Treasury, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools supporting intraday liquidity management.Prepare executive presentations, governance committee materials, and regulatory reporting that support management decision-making and regulatory engagement.Lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving liquidity efficiency, strengthening operational resiliency, and enhancing the firm's ability to monitor and manage intraday liquidity risk.Build and maintain well-documented workflows, operating procedures, and playbooks that support onboarding, knowledge transfer, and effective day-to-day team operations.What we valueThe following skills will help you succeed in this role:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large and complex datasets into clear business insights using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, etc.Knowledge of liquidity risk management, intraday liquidity concepts, payment and settlement processes, and financial market infrastructures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex topics clearly and concisely to senior management audiences.Experience preparing executive presentations, management committee materials, and strategic business analyses.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across Treasury, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, and business teams.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a proactive approach to identifying risks, opportunities, and process improvements.Experience working across global organizations and coordinating efforts among multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts.Education & Preferred Qualifications5+ years of relevant experience in Treasury, liquidity risk management, liquidity reporting, regulatory reporting, payments, settlement operations, risk management, management consulting, or a related discipline.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.Exposure to Financial Market Utilities (FMUs), central bank settlement systems, correspondent banking, custody operations, or collateral management is a plus.Experience utilizing analytical tools and working with large, complex financial datasets to support reporting and business decision-making is preferred.CFA, FRM, or other relevant Treasury qualifications are a strong advantage.Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
