Quality Inspection Specialist

Nesco Resource is seeking an Quality Inspection Specialist to perform assigned scanning tasks, conformance requests, using various metrology techniques and tools including Laser 3D Scanning Machine and Software. for our long-term client in Auburn Hills. 1st shift 6 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: 24-27 an hour depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Dimensional conformance for Injection Mold layouts and various special requests.

· Oversee maintenance and calibration of all quality equipment and gages.

· Develop and maintain quality assurance system.

· Assure the workspace is 5S compliant.

· Participate in cross-functional teams.

· Report any non-conforming items identified.

· Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives. Familiar with evacuation plans. Familiar with environmental plant postings.

· Scanning and verifying all assigned Injection Molds and Injection Mold Components.

· Reverse Engineering abilities for direct and indirect projects.

· Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

· Operation of Overhead Crane and Motorized Lift Trucks to handle and move workpieces.

· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD models, surface geometry, and wireframe.

· Understand GD&T symbols and functions.

· Basic metrology techniques (using instruments)

· Verisurf or other electronic software experience for receiving and processing part information.

· Laser scanning of any brand hardware (API, Faro, Romer, etc.).

· Basic knowledge of Injection Molds and Injection Mold Components.

· Basic knowledge of Machining, EDM, and Mold Assembly.

· Oral, written and communication skills.

· Customer liaison skills.

· Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
