Maintenance SupervisorBeecher's Handmade Cheese is excited to be opening a new cheesemaking facility in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and we're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations, support equipment reliability, and help build a high-performing maintenance team.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for executing preventive maintenance programs, supporting plant operations, and fostering a culture of ownership, safety, and accountability. You'll play a key role in ensuring our equipment, utilities, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably from day one.What You'll DoLead maintenance operations for plant equipment, utilities, and facility systemsSupport equipment installation, commissioning, startup activities, and FAT/SAT processesDevelop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize reliability and uptimeManage the CMMS, including work orders, preventive maintenance scheduling, asset history, and performance trackingOversee spare parts inventory and maintenance suppliesOversee contractors and specialized service providers, including electrical, refrigeration, boiler, and utility partnersEnsure compliance with safety programs, including LOTO, machine guarding, and confined space requirementsSupport calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, controls, sensors, and process equipmentLead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment and reliability issuesManage plant utilities, including steam, water, refrigeration, compressed air, and wastewater systemsPartner with Operations to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support production goalsSupervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians while fostering a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvementWhat We're Looking For2+ years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or industrial operations, including experience leading maintenance teamsStrong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and troubleshooting skillsExperience implementing or managing CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programsKnowledge of food-grade equipment standards and manufacturing environmentsExperience managing utilities and plant infrastructure systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and process control schematicsUnderstanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and maintenance best practicesExperience leading contractors, capital projects, equipment installations, and plant startupsStrong problem-solving skills with experience conducting root-cause analysis and driving lasting solutionsHands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the production floor and a commitment to doing things the right wayWhat Success Looks LikeEquipment and utilities fully operational and ready to support productionStrong preventive maintenance and reliability systems embedded throughout the facilityDowntime minimized through proactive maintenance and effective problem solvingSafe, well-maintained equipment that supports operational excellenceA maintenance team that takes ownership, responds with urgency, and delivers reliable resultsA facility built for long-term performance, quality, and growthCompensation & BenefitsThe starting salary range for this position is between $70,000 to $80,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
