Senior Project Accountant

Help Build the Finance Function of a Growing Construction Company We're partnering with an established and growing heavy civil construction contractor seeking a Project Accountant / Controller to lead its accounting operations. This is more than a traditional accounting role. You'll work directly with ownership, help improve financial reporting, support strategic growth initiatives, and play an instrumental role in building the company's accounting infrastructure as revenue continues to grow. What You'll Do Prepare monthly financial statements Manage WIP schedules and Percentage of Completion accounting Perform job costing and project financial analysis Review contracts and subcontractor agreements Assist with month-end close and year-end reporting Partner with an outside CPA firm Improve accounting processes and internal controls Support a future migration from QuickBooks to Sage Collaborate closely with ownership on financial strategy and operational decisions What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred Construction accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with: WIP reporting Job costing Percentage of Completion accounting Financial statement preparation Sage experience is a plus Someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where they can make a meaningful impact Blue Cross Blue Shield benefits 401(k) Additional earning opportunity through seasonal overtime Why Join?
