Electrical Estimator

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project documents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the bidding and preconstruction process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical construction, estimating software, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Review blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.

Collaborate with clients, vendors, project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to develop pricing strategies and resolve estimating issues.

Prepare detailed estimates for project bidding, budgeting, planning, and scheduling purposes.

Evaluate labor and material requirements to determine the most cost-effective construction approach.

Support vendor and subcontractor selection, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and tendering processes.

Generate cost reports, expenditure forecasts, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain relationships and databases of suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and manufacturers.

Assist with value engineering initiatives and cost reduction opportunities.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years of electrical estimating experience on commercial construction projects.

5+ years of electrical field experience required.

Active Journeyman Electrician License required.

Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.

Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Accubid experience
