Senior FP&A Analyst

Description Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst Reports To: Chief Financial Officer Work Location: Remote The Sr. FP&A Analyst for Central Pyramid plays a critical role in supporting the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This position involves analyzing financial and operational data to drive strategic decisions, optimize resources, and ensure regulatory compliance. The Sr. FP&A Analyst will work closely with leadership to provide insights into performance trends, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. Financial Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain financial models tailored to the unique operational structure of a home health agency, including patient volume, payer mix, and reimbursement rates.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections aligned with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance requirements.
- Work with clinical and operational teams to align financial goals with service delivery objectives.
- Analyze monthly financial performance, including revenue, cost-per-visit, labor utilization, and profit margins.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient census, visit productivity, and payer reimbursement rates.
- Provide detailed variance analyses between actual results and forecasts/budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Partner with operations to assess staffing models, overtime usage, and travel costs for field clinicians.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality care standards.
- Evaluate the financial impact of regulatory changes, reimbursement rate adjustments, and new service lines.
- Conduct scenario planning and "what-if" analyses for expansion into new markets, service lines, or partnerships.
- Provide financial insights to guide investment in technology, staffing, or patient care programs.
- Support leadership with ad-hoc analyses and data-driven recommendations for strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or healthcare-related certification (e.g., CHFP, CPA) preferred.
- 5+ years of FP&A experience, preferably within the home health or healthcare industry.
- Home Health experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer reimbursement structures.
- Advanced financial modeling experience required.
- Experience with reimbursement and rate modeling required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
- Experience developing executive dashboards and advanced reporting solutions using Power BI required.
- Strong data interpretation and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and process efficiency preferred.
- Experience with healthcare financial systems required; Homecare Homebase experience strongly preferred. Homecare Homebase Certified Builder designation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to support executive decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with executive leadership, operations, clinical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
