Make a meaningful impact as an Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher working with high school students in a Drop Out Recovery and Transitional Program near Cleveland, OH. This contract role is ideal for educators passionate about fostering student growth and supporting learners on nontraditional paths. The position offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 25, 2027.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for Ohio
• Experience working with high school students in alternative learning or transitional programs preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills to work alongside staff, families, and external support providers
• Dedication to creating a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to high school students
• Support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals of students in a Drop Out Recovery setting
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Partner with parents, counselors, and other team members to facilitate student success
• Develop strategies and interventions to address diverse learning needs
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
