Job Description

• Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyze project requirements, materials, labor, and equipment costs to ensure accurate project budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to review project scopes and timelines.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain and update a database of material, labor, and equipment costs for accurate forecasting.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary project details.
• Prepare and present estimates and proposals to internal teams and clients as needed.
• Monitor project budgets and provide updates to ensure alignment with financial goals.

The Successful Applicant

• Strong knowledge of construction project estimating and cost analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in civil estimation is preferred.
