Career Area Operations Job Summary A Caterpillar Warehouse Associate at the Miami Distribution Center supports customers by sorting parts, building protective carriers, and operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks and cherry pickers. Location & General Information 15550 NW 59 Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014 Must be at least 18 years of age. Relocation assistance not offered. Must be able to read, write, and conduct business in English. Ability to work overtime when required. Compensation Base wage $19.10 per hour (paid weekly). Night shift premium $0.75 per hour for 3rd shift. Overtime paid at time and a half (may be mandatory). Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits starting day 1. Responsibilities Safely perform material handling and warehousing processes for receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping parts, materials, equipment, and supplies. Operate handheld scanner to access and update information for receiving, counting, and order processing. Operate cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit‑down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists as required. Report defects and need for repairs. Use pneumatic and power tools to build and construct wooden shipping containers. Apply paint and rust preventative. Perform housekeeping functions as required. Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management. Qualifications Safety mindset: consistent use of required PPE and safety procedures. At least 18 years old; ideal for candidates building foundational warehouse skills within first 24 months of career. Time management: reliable, on‑time attendance and ability to reach productivity goals. Adaptability: work in changing temperatures, willingness to work overtime, and eagerness to learn multiple processes. Collaborative: promote teamwork and support shared goals. Communication: clear information sharing, listening, problem resolution, and proficiency in written and verbal English. Thoroughness: accuracy in quality checks, following instructions, clerical support, and basic math. Agility: lift up to 50 lbs, walk, sit, stand, squat, and bend repetitively.
