Certified/Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary: Alameda Elder Services is currently seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team full-time in Alameda, California. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our patients. The PTA will work with a group of patients with varying needs and conditions. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation range of $37 to $42 per hour (DOE). Responsibilities: Assist licensed physical therapist in evaluating patient's condition, assessing progress, and developing a treatment plan Assist in implementing treatment plans that include exercise, massage, and other therapeutic techniques Document patient progress and communicate updates to the treating physical therapist Educate patients and families on proper techniques and exercises to facilitate recovery and prevent further injury Maintain a clean and organized therapy area and monitor equipment inventory Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the patient receives well-rounded care Stay current with developments in the field of physical therapy and attend continuing education courses as needed Requirements: Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program Current and valid PTA license in the state of California BLS certification Knowledge of and experience with various therapy techniques and equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Prior experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and DOJ EEOC statement: Alameda Elder Services is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
