Director of Tax — Global Strategy & M&A Readiness (San Francisco)

Checkr is seeking a Director of Tax to build and lead the tax function, owning the full lifecycle and acting as a strategic partner across the company on M&A, transfer pricing, and tax planning. You will report to the Controller and collaborate with Legal, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Corporate Development.
This role shapes a function, not inherits one, and requires operating rigor and strategic complexity in preparing a growth company for life as a public company.
