Phoenix, Arizona - Academic Anesthesia Position Employed w/Great Benefits

Enterprise Medical Recruiting is assisting a large academic health system in Phoenix, Arizona, in hiring a full-time Anesthesiologist to join a well-established multi-specialty group. This is an exciting opportunity to practice the full scope of Anesthesia in a high-acuity, Level 1 Trauma setting with academic involvement and access to a brand-new hospital facility.

Position Highlights:

Comprehensive case mix : OB, General, Peds (approx. 20%), Trauma, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Burn (2nd largest burn center in the country)

• Significant OB need - seeking an anesthesiologist with strong OB experience or interest
• Academic appointment available - involvement in teaching residents and medical students.
• Supervise and perform own cases - currently around 50/50 MD/CRNA model
• Flexible scheduling : 14-15 shifts/month (mostly 12-hour shifts), including ~5 nights/weekends; options for 24-hour weekend shifts
• Staggered OR release times with full credit for scheduled hours
• New Anesthesiology Residency launching in 2026 (10 residents/year) - opportunity to shape program from the ground up

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary : $415K for 1800 clinical hours/year
• Additional pay for shifts over base hours
• Sign-on/relocation bonus : $30K (3-year repayment)
• Paid malpractice with tail coverage
• Generous time off : 7 weeks off, including PTO, paid holidays, and 1 week CME (additional week after 3 years)
• CME stipend included

Facility & Practice Details:

• Level 1 Trauma Center with 11,000+ ANE encounters annually
• The newly opened hospital campus is already at full patient capacity
• Robust surgical volume, including high OB and burn unit cases
• In-house call 4-5 times/month; night team includes 1 MD and 3 CRNAs (OB & trauma covered)

Candidate Profile:

• Board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologists
• Open to new graduates or experienced providers
• Must be comfortable managing high-acuity adult and pediatric patients
• Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
