Maintenance Technician

Work with a global automotive supplier with over 100 manufacturing facilities throughout US, Canada and Mexico, located in Spartanburg, SC. With a plant expansion nearly tripling its current size, we are looking for a Maintenance Technician (Various shifts available) to support the growing team. The ideal candidate would have at least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive and experience with Kuka robots and Siemens TIA portal. Pay starts at $30/hr DOE including 4 weeks paid vacation. Relocation assistance available. Tasks include shared responsibility for the achievement of production targets (OEE), performing preventive maintenance activities as well as optimization of the existing production plant, procurement and management of spare parts, ensuring compliance with all legal standards, analysis of weak points and/or risks and initiation and implementation of appropriate remedial measures, monitoring and participation in the assembly and installation of new equipment and conversions of existing facilities, responsibility for ensuring occupational safety and health protection in your area of activity, independent implementation of projects of various sizes with regard to conversion and repair work, technical competence in the area of automation technology and plant engineering, participation in FMEAs, training other employees as needed, creating and maintaining a safe and healthful work environment. Responsible for 5S within the plant and daily housekeeping.

Requirements include a degree in a technical field or 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with welding steel a plus. Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus. Prefer knowledge in Kuka and Motoman. Experienced in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Programming knowledge (Siemens Simatic TIA Portal V14 and upgraded versions). Relevant professional experience in the manufacturing industry (ideally automotive). SAP knowledge (creation of maintenance plans and spare parts requirements). Work is performed in a manufacturing setting which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and safety shoes with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Ability to work overtime in accordance with policies and procedures. Ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. is required. Ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the shoulders on an occasional basis. Ability to perform sustained motion for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and capable of repetitive motion for up to four (4) hours. Good vision at a close distance is required. Ability to work on a computer using email, Microsoft office and ERP system.
