Job Title: Per Diem Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Type: Per Diem / PRN

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital-based Operating Room experience and be committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during various procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients' condition throughout surgery and respond appropriately to changes.
• Perform accurate patient assessments and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital setting (required).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred or required based on facility.
• CNOR certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, sterile technique, and patient safety standards.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

• Per Diem / PRN
• Day, evening, or weekend shifts available based on facility needs.
