CCDE/Oakstone Academy School has an immediate opening for a Graphic Design and Yearbook Teacher for High School Students for the 2026-27 school year .  This opportunity is a full-time in-person teaching position offering 185-day or 238-day teaching responsibilities.  This position also offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, retirement packages, vacation, and accrued sick leave.  Candidates are required to hold or be able to obtain a valid Ohio Teaching License or Pupil Activity Permit and be responsible for overseeing yearbook production and ensuring compliance with all relevant school policies and standards.

Oakstone Academy is a private, chartered school in the state of Ohio currently serving typically developing and special-needs students Pre-Kindergarten through High School located in Westerville, Ohio, northeast of Columbus.  Our special-needs students primarily have Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Certification/license in any of the following:

·        Ability to obtain an Ohio Teaching License or Pupil Activity Permit

Job Description and Requirements:

• The Yearbook Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and overseeing all aspects of the school’s yearbook program. 
• The Yearbook Teacher provides leadership to their students in creation, design, editing, production, and distribution of the annual yearbook while promoting student involvement and creativity.
• Working cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment and comfortable delegating tasks to team members and students.
• Differentiate Lesson Plans and Academic Instruction for students with diverse learning abilities
• Experience with the platforms/apps of Adobe Creative Cloud
• Ensure accuracy of student names, grades, staff information, awards, and school records included in the publication.
• Coordinate the collection of photographs, student portraits, club pictures, team pictures, and other school events documenting each school year.
• Evaluate student progress
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and translate lesson plans into learning experiences to best utilize the available time for Graphic Design/Yearbook instruction.
• Communicate consistently with families concerning academic, social, and behavioral goals
• Administer formative and summative progress evaluations to demonstrate the effectiveness of instructional practices.
• Perform all other reasonable assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain an Ohio Teaching License or Pupil Activity Permit
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills
• Ability to build relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and outside organizations
• Ability to meet all deadlines and prioritize projects
