As an Agentic AI Engineer & Technical Manager, you’ll help lead that work from initial design through production delivery.

In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical leadership across AI agents, applications, data integration, and cloud technologies. You’ll help establish architecture direction, mentor developers, review technical work, coordinate stakeholders, and keep delivery focused on meaningful outcomes.

You’ll work alongside engineers, data specialists, cloud and security professionals, and mission stakeholders to translate priorities into practical solutions. What You’ll Work On:

• Lead the technical design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of AI agents and AI-enabled applications.
• Define agent architectures that incorporate orchestration, tool use, state management, error handling, evaluation, observability, and operational support.
• Lead the integration of mission and enterprise data with large language models using RAG, MCP, secure tool access, prompt management, and context engineering.
• Guide the development of Node.js applications, dashboards, and user interfaces that securely consume Oracle Database data.
• Oversee the integration of geospatial intelligence data, including raster and vector data, spatial context, metadata, and analytic results.
• Establish engineering practices, review technical products, mentor developers, and promote consistent approaches across the team.
• Coordinate technical delivery across mission, data, cloud, security, database, and customer stakeholders.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or AI/ML engineering
• Experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade AI agents or AI-enabled applications
• Experience leading technical designs and delivery for agentic AI capabilities, including orchestration, tool use, state management, evaluation, observability, and operational support
• Experience integrating mission or enterprise data with large language models using RAG and MCP
• Experience working with geospatial intelligence data, including raster and vector data types, metadata, spatial context, and analytic results
• Experience with Python, SQL, R, and RESTful API development
• Experience using machine-learning frameworks, AutoML, or notebook-based workflows
• Experience developing Node.js applications connected to Oracle Database, mentoring developers, coordinating delivery, and using AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI Codex
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Oracle AI Database Agent Factory or comparable agent-development frameworks
• Experience with Oracle Spatial and Spatial Studio, including spatial analytics and visualization workflows
• Experience with Oracle APEX for rapidly developing data-centric applications and dashboards
• Experience operating AI applications in regulated, classified, or mission environments
• Experience leading customer-facing technical teams or multidisciplinary engineering efforts
• Knowledge of Oracle AI Database 26ai, including vector data types and AI-enabled database capabilities
• Knowledge of OCI, including secure deployment, networking, identity, observability, and managed data services

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
