Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: Targeting $135,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Relocation: Open to non-local candidates; relocation assistance may be available Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Applications Engineer with hands-on deployment experience using ICONICS GENESIS v10 and/or v11 and the broader ICONICS product suite. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale automation and monitoring systems across commercial buildings, industrial processes, and factory automation environments. The ideal candidate has real-world implementation experience, not just exposure, and can serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers. This is a high-urgency hire for a repeat client where multiple successful placements have already been made. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and deploy ICONICS GENESIS v10/v11 automation systems Lead implementation of large-scale automation, monitoring, and visualization projects Act as a technical advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on ICONICS solutions Integrate industrial and commercial equipment, sensors, databases, and IT systems Develop dashboards, reports, alerts, and workflows to support operational decision-making Analyze operational and historical data to improve system performance and visibility Manage multiple projects while ensuring timelines, specifications, and customer expectations are met Maintain high standards of professionalism in all client-facing interactions Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams Perform additional duties as required Education Bachelors or Masters degree in an Engineering discipline Work Location & Travel Position based in Washington, DC Initial training in Foxboro, Massachusetts Once CAC clearance is obtained, work will be on-site (MondayFriday, 8 hours/day) After the initial period (up to one year), 515% travel may be required, including international and weekend travel Qualifications: Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of hands-on deployment experience with ICONICS GENESIS v10 and/or v11 (required) Proven experience implementing ICONICS solutions in production environments Strong background in industrial and computer networks Experience with industrial communication protocols such as: OPC BACnet Modbus SNMP 5+ years of experience with SQL Server Strong experience with Microsoft operating systems and software Comfortable working in customer-facing environments Ability to obtain Federal Security Credentials / CAC clearance Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience Background with Wonderware or other HMI / SCADA platforms Experience with IoT technologies and protocols UX, dashboard design, or industrial visualization experience Experience integrating enterprise databases and IT applications into automation systems
