Business Development Manager - Retail & Merchandising

Minneapolis, MN | Full-time | On-site

Annual salary: $114,500–$175,400 USD

Candidates must be local to Minneapolis.

Cadreforce is recruiting for a business development opportunity focused on Retail, Merchandising, eCommerce and Consumer Goods. You'll drive revenue growth, build strategic client relationships, develop new opportunities and expand existing accounts through customer-focused solutions.

What you'll do

• Identify and develop new business across Retail, eCommerce, Merchandising and Consumer Goods organizations.
• Build relationships with retail executives, merchandising leaders, buyers and key decision-makers.
• Develop account growth strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Manage the complete sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation and deal closure.
• Collaborate with delivery, technology, merchandising and marketing teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
• Grow the pipeline and maintain accurate sales forecasts using CRM tools.
• Identify opportunities in merchandising, category management, supply chain, loyalty programs, retail analytics and digital commerce.
• Use market research, competitor analysis and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead client presentations, solution discussions and contract negotiations.
• Represent the organization at events, conferences, trade shows and customer meetings.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and develop cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
• Coordinate with delivery and support teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management.
• Strong knowledge of Retail, Merchandising, Category Management, eCommerce and Retail Analytics.
• Experience working with major retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger or similar.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue and sales targets.
