Physical Security System Administrator - TS/SCI Required

Overview Position: Physical Security System Administrator – USSOUTHCOM J2 Location: Doral, Florida Employment Status: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt Security Requirements: Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Responsibilities Operate the LENEL system and perform system administrator functions. Provide IT Tier 2 service and advanced technical troubleshooting and analysis, including escalation procedures to Tier 3 when necessary. Provide internal and external IPv4 primary and secondary DNS services for USSOUTHCOM security ESS network. Operate and maintain enterprise applications and devices for network authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), port authentication, device profiling, and policy compliance. Configure and maintain all network equipment for log collection and retention according to applicable policies and regulations; configure, maintain, analyze, and monitor data input and output from SIEM tools to detect and respond to problems, outages, and security threats. Analyze and tune SIEM rule sets to reduce false positives and maintain effective detection. Manage, update, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and other storage technology across the USSOUTHCOM Security ESS network. Provide backup services (file-level and system-level) and technical recommendations for a Backup Plan, testing, and results. Provide services for virtualized platforms and systems including automated provisioning, deployment, and servicing of multiple physical and virtual enclaves. Provide all Active Directory management services including DNS, DHCP, group policy, and certificates. Engineering, installation, and operations/maintenance (O&M) of applications and their operating environments. Provide systems operations services including imaging, patching, application deployment, monitoring, and service operations. End-User Device Operations for provisioning/de-provisioning, thin/zero client services, imaging, monitoring, patching, and application virtualization. Engineer, install, operate, and maintain a password management system. Provide Tier 3 IT problem solving, monitor and manage network infrastructure devices and services, and support policy development and technology integration. Conduct monthly scans to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions per DoD references. Provide daily monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of ESS processes and technologies, and recommend upgrades as needed. Apply OS patches and STIGs, upgrade administrative tools, configure new services, and perform capacity planning and performance tuning. Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system health and operations as required by the COR or KO. Respond to critical ESS failures after hours, on holidays, or weekends as needed; maintain standby roster with a 2-hour response requirement. Assist with sustainment and maintenance of ESS and CCTV network infrastructure from base demarcation to downstream devices, including troubleshooting as needed. Integrate ESS hardware with network infrastructure (switches, servers, fiber transfer systems, UPS, and related devices). Establish and maintain a written preventative maintenance plan for security systems; update annually. Train users, manage codes, and provide end-user training documentation as required; retain copies for one year and adhere to incident reporting requirements and CJCSI Cyber Conditions (CYBERCON). Develop and track maintenance agreements with vendors supporting ESS components. Update status on Weekly Activity Reports (WAR). Provide Physical Security support managed by the PM, including customer service, X-Ray machine relocation/maintenance, and related tasks. Research and provide recommendations/quotes for ESS and Physical Security enhancements, including IT hardware/software and physical security equipment. Required Qualifications 5 years of related experience. Knowledge of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and DoD Enterprise Architecture frameworks, and IT/Cybersecurity rules and regulatory authorities for policy development and planning. Knowledge of governing laws, regulations, and directives for DoD security programs (information, personnel, physical, industrial, etc.). Understanding of interoperability standards with other non-DoD Federal agencies. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access). Proficient in using personnel security processing tools, including DoD personnel security system of record (e.g., DISS) and NBIS. Current CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent). Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent. Active TS/SCI clearance (within 5 years). Desired Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred). Lenel Certified Professional (LGE-Core, LGE-Access, LGE-Enterprise) preferred.
