Job Description We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a web software that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate should have experience in Python, React, web development, AWS, and PostgreSQL. This job is not a fully remote position. We value collaboration and communication among our team members, so we expect the developer to work in our office in Draper, Utah a minimum of 3 days a week. Desired Skills & Experience Requirements: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop software solutions that meet business requirements Design, develop, and implement software solutions using Python, React, and other web development tools Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality Develop and maintain applications on AWS platform Resolve issues and/or identify innovative solutions to complex and critically sensitive issues affecting Scalar’s clients Manage and maintain database systems using PostgreSQL Troubleshoot and debug software issues Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field At least 2-3 years of professional experience in software development Strong proficiency in Python and React Experience in web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript Familiarity with AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, Lambda, and CloudFront Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Ability to independently learn and solve complex, ambiguous problems with minimal supervision Company Description: Scalar is the leading independent valuation firm for tax, financial reporting, transaction advisory, and litigation purposes.
