Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AI-Native Technical Architect II to provide architectural leadership for a business area within a complex, regulated healthcare environment. The architect will translate business and product requirements into scalable, secure, and implementable solutions while guiding engineering teams and AI-native development pods.

The role combines hands-on solution architecture, cloud-native engineering, AI-assisted development, technical governance, and team mentorship .

Key Responsibilities

• Define architecture and technical solutions across applications, APIs, services, data flows, and platform components.
• Design and integrate AI-enabled capabilities where they provide business value.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted development using copilots, code generation, agents, automated testing, and intelligent engineering workflows.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, design guardrails, and technical governance.
• Guide technical decisions and trade-offs involving cost, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability .
• Partner with developers and technical leads to ensure architecture is effectively implemented.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Data, Platform, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and improve engineering effectiveness through automation, observability, and modern architecture patterns.
• Mentor engineers and architects and promote strong technical and AI-native engineering practices.
• Ensure architecture decisions address healthcare data, workflows, regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years designing and building web, workflow, service, and backend applications with architecture responsibility.
• Strong Application/Solution Architecture experience including API design, service decomposition, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Golang, Spring, or comparable technologies .
• Strong experience with microservices, cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, streaming, and enterprise integration .
• Experience with AI-assisted development, AI agents, copilots, code generation, automated testing, and AI-native engineering workflows .
• Strong SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, APM, and observability experience.
• Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs across cost, scalability, reliability, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
• Hands-on technical depth with the ability to review code and solve complex technical problems.

Must-Haves

1. 6+ years of software/application architecture and development experience.
2. Strong Java/Golang/Spring or comparable backend technologies .
3. Microservices, cloud-native, distributed systems, APIs, and enterprise integration.
4. Hands-on AI-native/AI-assisted engineering experience with agents, copilots, code generation, or automated testing.
5. Strong technical leadership with CI/CD, DevOps, observability , and architectural governance experience.
