Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment within the Sharps Department while meeting quality, productivity, waste, and safety goals
- Operate all packaging equipment, ensuring product is properly packed and labeled per specification
- Perform quality checks as required by specifications
- Maintain accurate production, downtime, and quality check records
- Notify technical personnel of equipment malfunctions
- Utilize and stamp batch numbers on cartons using SAP
- Perform general housekeeping duties throughout shift
- Observe all safety, environmental, and Quality Systems Requirements (QSR)
- 0-5 years overall
- Minimum 1-2 years with a previous employer preferred (stable work history required; frequent job changes not preferred)
- Proficient with basic hand tools
- Knowledge of feeler gauges and measuring tools (tolerances, torque, clearances)
- Familiarity with cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes
- Familiarity with vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, ball-valves
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Industrial Maintenance/Basic Mechatronics Technology preferred
- Must pass an eye exam (required)
- Steel toe or composite shoes required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- No drug screening required
- Background check must be cleared (candidate may start once criminal check is completed)
