Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology in Lexington, KY

Join an esteemed facility known for its commitment to patient care in the vibrant city of Lexington, Kentucky. This opportunity covers inpatient gastroenterology, offering 24-hour call that includes inpatient coverage, rounding, and procedures such as ERCP, which is highly preferred. The practice is well-supported with three dedicated inpatient APPs assisting in endoscopy and on the floors/ED.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care in gastroenterology.
• Conduct consultations and manage ED calls.
• Perform ERCP and other bread-and-butter endoscopic procedures.
• Collaborate with a team of medical professionals and support staff.
• Adhere to all hospital protocols and patient care standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic EMR.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Clean record of malpractice is highly preferred.
• Availability for name clearing upon credentialing.
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• KY License is highly preferred (considering IMLC).
• ERCP proficiency is required.
• ACLS and DEA certifications are required.
