Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Rehab (Nights)

Kirksville, MO | Acute Rehab / Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Weekends Required | On-Call Required | Floating Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for inpatient rehab (Swing Bed) patients in a unit with up to 10 beds at a 1:10 patient ratio
• Absorb Med Surg patient assignments if swing bed volume decreases
• Float primarily within the Med Surg unit for patient assignments; may float to other units for tasking within existing competencies
• May be placed on call based on patient volume — no standing call; on-call time will not exceed limits outlined in the standard contract
• Document and manage patient care using the MedHost EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Rehab and/or Med Surg experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Swing Bed or inpatient rehabilitation programs
• Familiarity with MedHost EMR
• Comfort working in a lower nurse-intensity rehab environment while maintaining full clinical competency
