Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides expert nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring timely and effective treatment in a fast-paced environment. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly and accurately to determine priority of care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience in emergency or acute care settings is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS are required or preferred depending on hospital policy.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills necessary.
