Description

Vortex Metal Manufacturing is searching for a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team! The Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering HVAC duct that has been fabricated by Vortex Metal Manufacturing. The delivery area will primarily be in Richmond Virginia, but could extend to Roanoke, Virginia Beach, and Northern Virginia. When not delivering products, the Delivery Driver must be willing to learn all aspects of product fabrication and perform other tasks within the shop as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Deliver products within scheduled time of delivery.
• Maintain a driving record that meets standards for company vehicle operation.
• Load and unload trucks for deliveries.
• Wrap and palletize duct for deliveries as needed.
• Practice safe and proper driving techniques.
• Work well individually and in group settings while maintaining a high attention to detail.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

• Able to reliably arrive for their shift on time and remain until the completion of their assigned shift.
• A desire to learn and grow within our company.
• Driving Requirements
  • Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
  • Must have positive points on state driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
  • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
  • All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
• Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
