Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT), Evenings

The primary responsibility of the Medical Technologist, or Technician is: Incorporates appropriate assessment and intervention and/or technical skills in all interactions and/or delivery of patient care. Organizes multitask workload; prioritizes tasks/work; seeks assistance; collects/integrates data from multiple sources; organizes job tasks or delivers care for multiple tasks or patients, per scope of position. Maintains awareness and contributes to department-specific quality initiatives Acknowledges limits of experience and capability; identifies learning needs and seeks resources; utilizes equipment and supplies appropriately; maintains a clean, orderly environment of work; ensures traffic control in “sensitive areas”; seeks out and accepts feedback; requests assistance appropriately. Perform a variety of specialized lab tests in all areas of the clinical laboratory: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology/immunology, including demonstrable knowledge of expected lab values The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: Medical technologist (MT) — Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences Medical Technician (MLT) – Associates of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences Eligible for Certification as an MT or MLT (must be obtained within 6 months of hire) Phlebotomy experience Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Must be able to pass a color deficiency test Compensation: Min:$20.74 Max:$44.18 In addition to Dartmouth Health’s highly competitive total compensation package, Valley Regional employees gain access to an array of exceptional benefits—including an on-site fitness center, innovative wellness initiatives with reimbursement, and generous tuition reimbursement.
