Pediatrician

Job Description Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non‑Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our Southampton location and support our Shirley and Patchogue locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions within the scope of the specialty following evidence‑based standards of care. Provides after‑hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients as contractually obligated. Participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews. Supervises clinical activities and documentation of medical providers in the department, including protocol review, telephone triage, and follow‑up procedures. Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of patients outside the Health Center. Sets and meets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within the specialty; participates in program development to implement these standards. Maintains legible and appropriate documentation of medical records. Attends provider meetings and collaborates with Health Center staff to maintain high‑quality standards. Meets productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards. Schedule Southampton – 3 days a week Patchogue – 1 day a week Shirley – 1 day a week Minimum Education and Licensure Doctorate Degree – M.D. or D.O. Valid New York State medical license Board certified Minimum Related Work Experience 2‑4 years Required Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures that nurse practitioners are trained to perform, necessary for practice in health care centers. Competence in delivering health care, including preventive health education. Ability to collaborate with other Health Center members to maintain high quality standards and achieve client satisfaction. Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written). Job Type Part time Salary Range

• 112,890.96 – $127,534.68 annualized (part‑time, 21 hrs/week)
• 215,030.40 – $242,923.20 annualized (full‑time, 40 hrs/week)
