We are seeking a highly analytical and technology-oriented Senior Accountant, Treasury Operations to join our evolving finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys leveraging automation, solving complex problems, and improving financial processes in a modern ERP environment. As our organization continues to optimize Oracle NetSuite and automate treasury and investment accounting processes, this position will play a key role in safeguarding company assets, overseeing cash and investment accounting activities, ensuring the integrity of automated financial data flows, and strengthening internal controls. This role also serves as the primary accounting resource responsible for resident entrance fee escrow administration and related regulatory compliance activities.

Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will have significant exposure to senior finance leadership and opportunities to influence process improvements, system enhancements, and future-state accounting operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver who enjoys using technology to solve accounting challenges, improve processes, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cash positioning and banking activity across multiple operating, trust, escrow, and investment accounts.
• Monitor automated bank feeds and treasury transactions within Oracle NetSuite.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of cash receipts, disbursements, and treasury-related transactions.
• Assist with liquidity monitoring and cash reporting activities as needed.
• Administer corporate credit card program, including card issuance, maintenance, spending oversight, transaction monitoring, reconciliation, and coordination with cardholders and financial institutions.
• Review corporate credit card transactions for accurate coding, adequate supporting documentation, compliance with Company policies, and timely reconciliation.

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank, escrow, investment accounts and other accounts as assigned.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items, outstanding transactions, clearing account variances, and exception reports.
• Maintain strong internal controls designed to safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
• Review automated transaction matching and identify opportunities to improve reconciliation efficiency.
• Research and resolve accounting issues impacting treasury-related accounts.
• Coordinate Finance-related aspects of PCI compliance activities and serve as the primary liaison between Finance and internal or external stakeholders involved in credit card security and compliance requirements.
• Monitor corporate credit card controls and related processes to support compliance with Company policies and applicable financial, regulatory, and security requirements.

• Monitor automated investment transactions, interest income, dividend activity, and realized gains and losses within NetSuite.
• Maintain accounting records related to resident entrance fees, deposits, and escrow fund activity.
• Process entrance fee refunds and related transactions in accordance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor the integrity of automated banking, treasury, and investment accounting processes.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve exceptions generated by system integrations and automated data feeds.
• Partner with finance leadership, IT, and external vendors to improve NetSuite workflows and automation capabilities.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

• Support annual financial statement audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare audit schedules, bank confirmations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable regulations governing trust funds, deposits, and entrance fee accounting.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Experience

• 4-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience and/or a combination of public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience within healthcare, senior living, CCRC, long-term care, or other regulated industries is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Experience with Oracle NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Experience working with automated bank reconciliations, treasury systems, banking integrations, or financial data feeds.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, system enhancements, or process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
