Truck Driver CDL A Regional Travel

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Dallas, TX — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Compensation & Benefits Ryder Drivers are paid weekly. Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour base pay plus additional $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements. 1 year flatbed experience required. Overtime paid after 40 hours. Hours per week: 40 + hours per week. Per diem pay: $50.00 per night. Overnights for route in Ryder booked hotel or sleeper. Paid travel. Tenure bonus: $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31. Freight: mix of touch/no touch – product varies. Paid training. Schedule: Monday – Friday – must be flexible. Routes & Equipment Deliver SOLO: TX, OK, AR, MA, LA and AL. Tractor type: Day Cab and Sleeper – possibility of 26' straight truck. Trailer type: 48' – 53' flatbed, dry van, reefer, conestoga, curtainside and container. Hazmat endorsements preferred. Must have Real ID or passport. Only one is required in order to fly. Equipment: manual pallet jack, rollers, lift gate and moffett. Load securement – strapping, tarping and chaining. Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight: mix of touch/no touch – varies by account. We reimburse cost and provide training to obtain endorsements. Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards maintaining accurate records and logs. Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
