Substitute School Nurse

Substitute Nurse Position

The Selinsgrove Area School District regularly utilizes substitute school nurses or health room technicians. Upon submission of a completed application, you will be placed on the agenda for school board approval. Once board approved, you will receive notification on how to establish an account in AESOP, our substitute notification system.

Thank you for your interest in serving as a substitute nurse in the Selinsgrove Area School District.

In order to meet requirements of employment as a substitute nurse, the following items are required, prior to Board approval:

• A copy of your license
• Results of a current (less than 1-year-old) TB test (stick test).
• Results of a current (less than 5-years-old) Request for Criminal History Record Information (Act 34 Clearance).
• Results of a current (less than 5-years-old) Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance form (Act 151).
• Results of a current (less than 5-years-old) Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The service code for PA School Districts is 1KG6XN.
• An Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form (Act 24).
• Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9) which needs to be completed and returned along with copies of document verification.
• All substitutes must complete the Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse On-Line Training and provide the certificate of completion. The link for the free training is:
• Act 168 Form (Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release). As a hiring school entity, we must require any substitutes to submit this form to all current employer(s) and to former employer(s) that were school entities and/or where the applicant had direct contact with children. Applicant is requested to complete all of page two and the top portion of page three, sign and date, and return to the Selinsgrove Area School District for submission.
