Job Title: Member Services Representative

Location: Akron, OH 44305

Duration: 3 Months+ with (potential extension to long term)

Shift: Mon – Fri | 8AM – 5PM | 40/hrs Weekly

Position Overview:

The Member Services Representative provides personalized support to Medicare members, handling inquiries related to enrolment, benefits, billing, claims, and authorizations. Requires prior experience in customer service, preferably within Medicare or health insurance. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced call center environment.

Job Description:

• Respond to member inquiries via phone, electronic communication, or in person regarding enrolment, eligibility, benefits, claims, billing, and authorizations.
• Document all interactions accurately within tracking systems and ensure proper routing for resolution.
• Meet or exceed departmental productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain working knowledge of health insurance regulations, Medicare guidelines, and internal systems.
• Exercise independent judgment to resolve member concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with empathy, confidence, and a customer-first attitude.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required; College coursework preferred.
• More than 1 year of experience in customer service, call center, or administrative support required.
• Background in Medicare and/or health insurance strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and computer-based systems required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule based on business needs.
• Attendance is mandatory for orientation weeks.
• Orientation will begin at 8:30am for orientation then the regular scheduled start will be 8:00am
