Location Mentor, OH, 44060 Role and Responsibilities Accomplishing department objectives by supervising staff and organizing work processes Implementing and enforcing systems, procedures, and policies Monitoring employee productivity by providing useful feedback and training Setting performance goals that comply with the organization’s plans and visions Ensuring compliance with legal and company policies and procedures Relaying information from upper management to employees and vice versa Handling customer issues that might escape and require a supervisor for management Skills Excellent communication skills for effective listening and positive body language for giving feedback to employees and clients Good conflict resolution abilities to improve organizational productivity Strong leadership skills to create a supportive and motivating work environment Good interpersonal skills to identify and establish a purposeful team culture Outstanding time and priority management to manage intense workloads and time constraints Ability to solve problems effectively by choosing suitable solutions Qualifications Requirements 3+ years in Metal Shop experience (Required) 3+ years of management experience (Required) Machinery, tools and blueprint reading experience Possesses working knowledge of woodworking and manufacturing Must correctly perform all aspects of routine work, meeting quality standards and requirements Must be able to achieve results in an accurate and timely manner Maintain awareness of shipping schedules and adjust work capacity needs as required Keep work areas clean and safe Communicate effectively with co-workers, managers and others Must be willing to share knowledge and ideas Perform activities that directly support team outcomes Flexible in cross-training Perform duties based on instructions/past practices Respond positively to direction in order to provide assistance to others Will require follow-up in new areas Must be able to take responsibility for own contributions to team/unit goals #J-18808-Ljbffr Merritt
