Location: Orlando, FL Pay Rate: $22.93 per hour Job Type: Full-Time | Shift Work (Evenings, Weekends, Holidays) | Bargaining Unit
About the Role
LYNX is seeking a Service Island Attendant to keep our fleet clean, fueled, and ready to serve the community. This safety-sensitive position involves fueling buses, cleaning interiors and exteriors, and performing basic maintenance checks. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to make a difference in public transportation, this is the job for you!
What You'll Do
- Fuel buses and service vehicles; check oil, water, and tire conditions.
- Drive buses through wash racks and clean interiors (floors, seats, windows).
- Remove trash, refill fare boxes, and complete cleaning/service documentation.
- Operate forklifts and automated cleaning equipment as needed.
- Safely maneuver buses and support vehicles on public roadways.
What We're Looking For
- Education/Experience: High School diploma or GED plus 1 year of related experience in vehicle servicing or industrial cleaning.
- Licenses: Valid Florida CDL Class "B" with Passenger ("P") endorsement and airbrakes.
- Must pass DOT physical exam and maintain a valid DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Details
- As a member of a bargaining unit, this position follows a seniority-based system for bidding on shifts and days off.
- Eligible for Bloodborne Pathogen Program.
- Position is mission-critical during emergencies or disasters.
- Must be available for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
