Senior Manager, Trust and Safety Analysis, Google Play

Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 13 years of experience in data analytics, program management, anti-abuse, policy, or related fields. 2 years of experience in people management, leading teams. Preferred qualifications Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python). Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels. About the job Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $219000 - $306000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits. Responsibilities Lead the evolution of the analytics function by shifting the team's focus from fulfilling ad-hoc requests (reactive) to anticipating business needs, identifying trends, and uncovering new growth opportunities (proactive). Act as an advisor to Play and Compute leadership. Manage, facilitate, and drive high-level business discussions, utilizing data to influence strategy, align cross-functional objectives, and achieve consensus. Advocate a culture of data-based decision-making. Mentor and guide a high-performing analytics team, fostering an environment focused on business impact, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
