Location: Salem, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract; 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday for day shifts; Friday/Saturday for night shifts); no on-call requirement for travel staff with potential for extra shifts

Highlights:

• Comprehensive maternity care center with 9 LDR beds, 8 postpartum/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and 23-bed wellborn nursery
• Patient ratios: 3 couplets per nurse; 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural patients
• Electronic Medical Record: Centricity Perinatal and Meditech
• Unit utilizes Corometric equipment for fetal monitoring
• Float only within the maternity care center; scrubs provided
• Collaborative team including directors, managers, couplet nurses, birth response nurses, and scrub techs

Requirements:

• Current RN license with active OB/maternity nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• Experience with labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum and newborn care
• Preferred: cesarean section experience as circulator, first assist, or scrub
• Must be energetic, self-directed, and work well in a fast-paced environment
