Seeking locums emergency medicine physicians to join a high-performing EM team at a premier hospital in Brandon, FL, just outside Tampa. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in one of Florida's busiest emergency departments within a large, well-supported system. System has multiple FSED's in the surrounding area as well, providing multiple shift options.

Emergency department details:

Main site:

• Annual volume: 120K+ visits
• ~20% pediatric volume (covered by dedicated pediatric EM physicians)
• 45-bed ED
• 29 adult beds
• 8 pediatric beds
• 8 fast track beds
• 5 FSED's attached in the system that providers will credential at as well, with lower volumes.

Coverage model:

• Main ED physician coverage: 88 hours/day
• Pediatric ED coverage: 24 hours/day
• APP coverage: 59 hours/day

Shift times:

• 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• 12:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Practice details:

• Physicians do not write admitting orders
• Physicians do not respond to floor codes

Requirements:

• Board certified / board eligible in emergency medicine
• Active Florida license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA
• ACLS
• BLS
