Senior Residential Mechanical Designer

A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Residential Mechanical Designer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical professional with residential HVAC design experience to take on meaningful projects while working in a collaborative office/hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop residential HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects
• Perform HVAC load calculations and system sizing
• Prepare mechanical drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural and other engineering disciplines
• Apply applicable building codes, standards, and design requirements
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, and efficiency
• Support project teams throughout the design and documentation process

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of residential HVAC/mechanical design experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Hands-on experience performing HVAC load calculations
• Wrightsoft experience required
