Women Empowering Women Inc. (WEW) and Brooks Counseling & Consulting Services are seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Administrative Assistant to support our growing organizations.

Position: Volunteer Administrative Assistant

Location: Hybrid (Remote with occasional in-person meetings in the Houston/Fort Bend area)

About the Opportunity:

This volunteer role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, communication, and supporting meaningful work that impacts women, youth, and the community. As our organizations continue to grow, this position has the potential to transition into a paid role based on organizational needs, funding, and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage emails and assist with correspondence
• Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
• Coordinate meetings and send reminders
• Assist with event planning and program logistics
• Update spreadsheets and maintain records
• Support volunteer and participant communications
• Assist with social media and basic administrative projects
• Help organize documents and digital files
• Provide general administrative support to leadership

Qualifications:

✔ Strong organizational and time-management skills

✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

✔ Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

✔ Self-motivated and able to work independently

✔ Passion for serving women, youth, and the community

✔ Previous administrative experience preferred but not required
