Must-Have: IV start, ventilation experience, telemetry monitoring, CPAP/BiPAP management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in a cancellation and DNR. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. The target ratios are 1:4-5 for mixed acuity patients. In extreme situations, the ratio may go to 1:6. 36 hours may be offered weekly. The unit will accept 13-week contracts. Team leads and support staff are present during shifts. Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, respiratory distress, and COVID-19 cases. Patients may require telemetry monitoring and may have comorbidities. Resources within the unit include an Admission/Discharge nurse, an Assistant Nurse Manager, and a Vascular Access Team. Must be willing to float to like units as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Unit orientation is 24 hours. Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear white or navy blue. Teamwork and adherence to behavioral expectations are imperative. Candidates must be open to floating within the facility.
