Catheterization Lab - CathLab RN - Travel Nurse TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Galveston, Texas. Assignment length: 13 weeks, based on a 10‑hour shift schedule totaling 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization to diagnose heart conditions or as a treatment. Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements. Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs). Learn and operate complex cath lab technologies effectively. Maintain and monitor EKG equipment and provide assistance during procedures. Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, stoop without difficulty. Easily lift 20 pounds; handle patients that may require lifting of up to 50 pounds. Adapt to fast‑paced environments, manage stress, and communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds. Requirements ACLS and BLS certification. Minimum of 3 years acute‑care experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
