The Head Engagement & Services Marketing for the Individual Business is responsible for defining and leading Guardian's engagement strategy across the full customer and financial professional lifecycle. This leader owns customer and advisor engagement across all individual business - business lines, driving the strategies, capabilities, and transformation initiatives that strengthen relationships, improve customer experiences, increase retention, and accelerate business growth. The role serves as Guardian's marketing leader for enterprise segmentation work, lifecycle marketing, customer journey optimization, underwriting transformation, and cross-functional initiatives that shape how prospects and customers engage with Guardian throughout their relationship.You WillDefine and lead the enterprise engagement strategy across customer, advisor, and employer audiences, ensuring a connected and consistent experience across all business lines.Own enterprise segmentation, targeting, and personalization strategies that drive growth, retention, and customer value.Lead lifecycle marketing and customer journey optimization efforts across acquisition, onboarding, servicing, retention, expansion, and advocacy.Represent Marketing in enterprise transformation initiatives, including underwriting modernization, digital enablement, servicing transformation, and customer experience innovation.Partner with Product, Distribution, Operations, Technology, Data & Analytics, Consumer Advocacy, and Enterprise Transformation teams to create integrated engagement strategies and scalable solutions.Establish engagement frameworks, governance, and measurement standards that improve customer outcomes and business performance.Leverage customer insights, behavioral data, advisor feedback, and emerging technologies to inform strategy, accelerate innovation, and modernize engagement capabilities.Build and lead a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Success ProfileSuccess in this role is measured by the ability to advance Guardian's engagement maturity through enterprise segmentation, journey transformation, lifecycle excellence, underwriting modernization support, and customer-centric innovation—creating a unified engagement ecosystem that improves client and advisor experiences while driving measurable business growth.You HaveBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).At least 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on customer engagement and service marketing within the financial services or insurance industry.Experience in loyalty, life cycle and segmentation marketingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.Strong knowledge of digital marketing and email systems, marketing technology and analytical toolsCreative and strategic thinker with the ability to work through unstructured problems and develop clear action plans and prioritiesData-driven marketer with expertise in leveraging data to make decisions, drive prioritization and demonstrate impactStrong presentation skills; effective communicator at all levels of organizationsHigh energy, self-starter, team-oriented, innovative and entrepreneurial spiritService and customer-first orientation is a mustWork LocationsThis role is hybrid out with 3 days a week out of Hudson Yards NY, or Pittsfield MA.Salary Range:$132,420.00 - $217,545.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
