We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in Limerick. This is an opportunity to contribute to the development, redesign, verification, and lifecycle support of innovative analytical instrumentation used by scientists and clinicians around the world.
As a senior technical contributor, you will help design, verify, troubleshoot, and sustain sophisticated electronic systems and PCBAs that support instrumentation platforms.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning Systems Engineering, Firmware, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and external technology partners to deliver high-quality products that make a meaningful impact on science and healthcare.What You'll Do

• Design and develop electronic hardware systems and subsystems.
• Contribute to technical requirements and electronic architectures.
• Perform schematic and PCB design reviews.
• Support verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Drive or support root-cause investigations and technical problem solving.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support product introduction and sustaining activities.
• Support component lifecycle and obsolescence mitigation initiatives.
• Evaluate and qualify alternate electronic components.
• Work closely with external engineering partners and suppliers.
• Support engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8 to 12+ years of experience in electronic product development.
• Strong understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Experience with PCB development and board-level debugging.
• Experience using laboratory test and measurement equipment.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience in Life Sciences, Medical Device, Diagnostic, or Scientific Instrumentation industries.
• Experience supporting regulated product development environments.
• Experience with component obsolescence management and redesign programs.
• Experience with FPGA or CPLD-based systems.
• Familiarity with Altium, PADS, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar ECAD tools.
• Experience working with global and cross-functional engineering teams.
