Each year, Spay Neuter Network (SNN) conducts more than 25,000 spay and neuter surgeries across Texas through our 4 stationary clinics in Crandall, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio, our mobile clinic and our fleet of four transport vehicles. In fact, our surgeons complete more sterilizations in one day than other veterinarian offices do in three months. Spay Neuter Network's mission is to eliminate pet overpopulation through spay/neuter, while empowering communities to care responsibly for dogs and cats. Overpopulation places a strain on our shelters and communities. By offering free or low-cost spay/neuter, and by empowering our communities to care responsibly for their pets, we can be the pet health experts for animals and owners who need us the most. We serve the 15 counties in and around the DFW Metroplex and across North Texas as well as San Antonio, Texas. Skills/Experience: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine - Active Texas Veterinary License - DEA license or license eligibility - Interest and skills in spay/neuter surgery - Leadership abilities - Interpersonal skills working with a team - Mission oriented with strong work ethic Essential Functions/Responsibilities: - Perform 35-50 spay and neuter surgeries per day, including pediatrics - Perform pre and post-operative examinations on all patients - Supervise vaccinations and limited medical care as needed for surgery and wellness patients - Perform post-operative rechecks and prescribe treatments as needed - Supervise and train veterinary surgical assistants - Provide strong and compassionate leadership - Provide regular review of medical and surgical protocols - Oversee use of controlled drugs Job Description Veterinarian - Work in conjunction with the Director of Operations to ensure smooth operation of the clinic Physical Requirements: - Must be able to work standing your full shift - Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly - Must be able to see fine detail in a variety of situations - Must have good hearing - Must have acceptable sense to touch and smell - Must have good range of motion in joints especially wrist, knees, elbows - Must have good range of motion in your back for instance twisting - Must be able to work and reach on hands and knees - Must possess excellent hand-eye coordination - Must possess an acceptable degree of dexterity in hands and fingers - Must have good vision including peripheral vision, fine detail, distance, depth perception, and ability to focus Benefits: - Health insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Professional development assistance - Relocation assistance - CE allocation * Sign on Bonus Compensation details: 150000-225000 Yearly Salary PIac3cc1422cc7-29400-41063709
